Kobe Japanese Steak House Rebranding

I completed this personal rebranding project for Kobe Japanese Steak House. Kobe is famous for Teppan’yaki, a style of Japanese cuisine in which a chef uses an iron griddle to cook food and perform a show for diners. After some research, I discovered that the Kobe restaurants lacked a consistent brand identity. This inspired me to create a brand refresh for the company. The sensation and image of the iron griddle’s heat and flames in a low-light atmosphere drove my design choices. This warm color palette – red, orange, and yellow – is ideal for a restaurant, as these colors are known to increase appetite.
