1637 Blake Street project is located in Downtown Denver on a current parking lot to bring density to the popular Blake Street. The location proved great for connectivity as it was located across the street from the market street transit center.

Location: LoDo 1637 Blake Street Denver
Project: Mixed Use building in LoDo
Historical Context: A goal of this project was to respond to the historical context with out making a period building.
Public v. Private: This project is a mixed use building where we balanced the interaction public and private areas.
Green Space: Including green space on an urban site was a design principle which was intergrated into program.
Design Approach: This studio project focused on combining design with building systems, code, zoning, and structure.
Diverse Floor Plan: This studio project explored intergration of famlies back into the urban landscape by filling a need for mulit bed rooms, which there is a lack of in the Downtown Denver neighborhoods.
Residental Units: 12 Units. 6 are 2 story units.
Efficient Units: One bedroom 624 sqft.
Light Wells: Being adjacent to an open lot that has the potential to be built up we designed a way that the hallways can be daylight even in that case.
