Ibex Wakesport

This was a purely styling based project, done in garaduate school. The idea was to develop a compelling and dynamic form based upon a natural form - in this case I started with an ibex.

I wanted to create a form that managed to, all at once, communicate strength, movement, fluidity, and tension. The form evolved through the use of sketches and models before a finished styling model was produced.

The styling model was then used to create a conceptual product - in this case a wake boarding boat. To add an extra twist to the concept I also imagined the possibility of a unique combination of existing technologies: hydrofoils, and water jets.
