Stool

In my first experience learning about textiles in consumer products I designed this stool. The intention was to contain an upholstered foam cushion inside a timber frame. The patterns for the textiles were designed based on the foam structure and supplied to a professional upholsterer to stitch together. All of the timber construction was completed by myself out of American Oak.

In this project I learned the tolerances required for textile components in a consumer product.

This project was part of a Furniture Design elective in my Industrial Design education.
