Cellucom animated logo - This is a video file but it was too large to upload, so please go to
http://vimeo.com/natemylott to view it in motion. I created this as a class project. I modeled and animated the logo in 3D Studio Max then added everything else in After Effects. I made this based on the 2D logo of the company I worked for at the time, though I never got the chance to show it to anyone in the company so it wasn't used professionally. The song is taken from Garage Band.
Antivirus Software
Antivirus package - I had to add in the user manual.
Book jackets
Weather forecast for a tv station - I designed this for Broadcast Graphics. It would be behind the weather man as he's giving his report. There is an animated version.
wedding invitation - We had to use the predefined shapes in Photoshop. So I arranged them this way, colored them in and used the smudge tool to make it look like a painting.
Typography Guide - This one was extremely hard trying to find a way to fit everything in. This is a good example where function trumped design. The great idea I had for a design took so much away from the readability that it defeated the purpose: a study guide. So I went back to what I keep finding is most successful again and again: keep it simple.
banner ad - The animation seems a little fast but I couldn't really fix it because I didn't realize I was limited to ten seconds in length until I got to the end. So I couldn't really stretch it out much more.
seagull - Learning to draw with the pen tool.
Smashed Vodka flier - This is part of a design set of a fictional product. I designed the lable, this flier and the box design.
Jennifer Love Hewitt - This is a vector illustration made by tracing over a photo of her.
Product design - This is part of the design set for the fictitious vodka company. I made the print ad to go with it, also in this portfolio.
Product design poster - This is all the elements together. A couple of these are posted individually so they're easier to see.
