Unconventional clothing material Picasso-inspired dress
I'd like to share the results of a challenge from the fashion school I attend I faced this last few months.
An unconventional clothing material dress made out of a hand-painted banner - the kind used in advertising - and inspired on Picasso’s cubism masterpiece: Femme au jardin.
Had a rough time sewing. It wasn't that easy at all but still made it possible.
My idea was to take the elements I loved from the painting, the very soul of it. Its rich geometric composition and turn it into an eclectic chic cocktail dress, ending up with an industrial -due to the synthetic polymer material itself - but still glamourous-looking outfit.
