Oak Island Mark - The Oak Island Money Pit is located in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia where for over 200 years people have been unsuscessfully digging to uncover the mysterious treasure that lay underneath. I wanted to express in the logo the massive and endless effort that people have put into this hole.
In Search of… Divine Styler Book - 7 inches x 8.5 inches, 168pp. Typeset in FF DIN and printed on 100% recycled paper. "In a short eight issues, In Search of Divine Styler became more than just a magazine. It became the voice of a movement, and the echoes of that voice can still be heard if one only puts their ear close enough to the underground." - Thomas Quinlan
Glossary of Typographic Terms - A class project directed by typographer Rod MacDonald, the purpose of the assignment was to learn how to set a bulk of type into a layout. Elements considered were the size of the book, binding, text size and legibility. My cover design pays homage to letterpress typography by graphically implying locked up type wedged in place on the bed of a printing press.
Bridges of Hope Promotional Material - Invite for gallery opening celebration and promotional material.
Asphalt Museum Identity Design - For this assignment we were to re-brand an existing museum, the more obscure the better. In addition to designing a logo, stationary, and business cards— a book with branding guidelines including clearing space and incorrect usage of the logo was also designed for the museum. The negative space around the pylon creates the letter A, a fitting symbol for the museum.
