Quickmount PV Solar Panel Roof Mount 2
This is an aluminum casting that is designed for mounting solar panels on low-slope roofs. My job was to create and analyze a 3D model based on design sketches, and then work with the OEM to optimize the design for casting. This was the first product that I had worked on from conception to mass production. During the second, revision, phase of this project I was able to redesign the product so that all machining operations could be removed which dramatically reduced the price of each unit, and allowed for an increase in production volume.
