I worked with madeindreams to develop and design a new kind of cordless phone.
Starting from the observation of the function of landline devices, and noticing their recent tendency to assume more and more the design, dimensions and look of common mobile phones, we felt the need to give them back their original role in our homes.
GILDA is a cordless phone that behaves just as aphone should. Its silhouette recalls the traditional and iconic landline “base + receiver” device, especially thanks to the possibility of charging the handset horizontally (and not only verticallyas most wireless phones do), by simply putting it on its base, where it elegantly and lays lightly .
Simplicity, lightnessand pureness are the keys for this easy-to-use object, which aims to play aleading role in the home environment. It is now distributed by SGW
