      FLIR Systems Inc.
      Portland, OR
      May 2019 - May 2021 (2 years)
When the need arose at FLIR to no longer outsource photography to independent contractors, I volunteered to take on the role as staff photographer. In this role I retained all my duties as the lead designer while also expanding my skill set. I photographed all products in a studio setting as well as in the field lifestyle photography. I was in charge of securing locations, developing shot lists, creating true to life application scenarios, art direction, and all post production retouching and editing.
    • Lead Designer Brand & Creative

      Wilsonville, OR
      May 2015 - May 2021 (6 years)
FLIR systems uses thermal imaging technology to create products that enhance visual awareness. As lead designer, I concepted and developed visual solutions for both print and digital that told the story of this visual awareness. I collaborated with team members in product development, strategic marketing, product management, and Brand & Creative Services to create results-driven marketing solutions. I led the development of trade show booths, large corporate event graphics, print ads, brochures, sales sheets, product packaging, digital banner ads - both static and animated, UI/UX graphics system development, presentations, and promos.
    • Brand Manager
      FLIR Systems Inc.

      Jan 2014 - Dec 2017 (3 years 11 months)
The FLIR brand had become fractured over time and once the company hired a Chief Marketing Officer, I was asked by him to lead the resurrection of the brand. I was given the responsibility to oversee the usage of the company logo, clarify the current brand standards, update and refine the brand book, and then make sure the 3000+ employees understood and correctly used the brand in all their communications. In 2016 as a lead designer in the newly formed FLIR Brand & Creative Services team, I was colead on the rebranding of the company’s visual identity system.
    • Associate Graphic Designer
      FLIR Systems Inc.
      Portland, OR
      Oct 2012 - Dec 2014 (2 years 2 months)
My tenure at FLIR systems began as an associate designer with plenty of opportunities to grow and develop my skills. I was able to jump right in and take the lead on several high-profile projects while developing strong relationships with vendors, third-party contractors, and cross-functional teams. I collaborated on a variety of projects such as large scale event graphics, brochures, sales sheets, digital banner ads, UI graphics, coordinated brand systems for mobile apps, advertising campaigns, promos, presentations, and much more.

NNP is a subsidiary of Church & Dwight and one of the first producers of gummy vitamins and supplements. As their production artist and associate designer I worked on several brands, each with their own set of brand guidelines. • Intern & Independent Contractor

In the beginning of 2008 I started an internship with OMSI. I was immediately part of the team and began cutting my design chops on customer facing projects inside and outside of the museum. I developed print ads, posters, Planar digital billboards and signage, logos, icons, digital banner ads, large format vinyl graphics, interactive display pieces, promos, and tchotchkes. I was asked to stay on after my three month internship as an independent contractor for the rest of 2008.

      Tigard, OR

At Collectors Press I helped design several kitsch coffee table books and assist senior creatives with photo editing and retouching.
