To generate ideas for a brand name, each individual within the group was given post it notes to write suggestions. Using a democratic process everybody had three votes to place on a suggestion, then re-vote in the second stage. With the elimination process the name Spectra was chosen.

The same voting process was used to finalise a target market. We decided on making a domestic sustainable lighting product for children 0-12 years
