Modular fender/lighting concept for bicycles - This rough sketch illustrates some interesting extrusion shapes I've been thinking about for bycicle frames. Also, I would like to get rid of the bolt-on look most accessories have on the bicycle and integrate more items into the frame itself...
Hour-glass - The one-hour it takes to metabolize alcohol presents the interesting idea of converting this champagne flute into an hourglass. The timer is symbolized by a gentle glow emanating from the center...the glow grows dimmer as the hour passes and the alcohol fades from your system. Remove the plug/base from the bottom, turn the glass over and pour another drink to start the timer again.

Dynamite Coffee Press - French press coffee is the best. The act of pushing the lever always makes me think of those dynamite ignition boxes from old coyboy movies. This is an idea for individual serving coffee presses, bundled together like a pack of dynamite ready to explode.
Keeping with the coffee theme, something I find very frustrating is that I can't find the "right" thermal coffee cup for myself. My ideal cup would be simple, efficient, shaped for the hand (that angled taper), cup-holder friendly (with the reduced footprint), made from pure materials (rubber and steel) and finally would feature a simple, easy to clean lid which drank much like the disposable Solo coffee lids I'm accustomed to using. I suppose a product like this would also benefit from a proper brand to kick it off, who better than Eva Solo?
A chair designed to seat many things - Many times in restaurants it is common to see chairs accomodating more than just people - they are resting places for jackets and purses and hats as well. It may be interesting to create a chair which is elegantly suited to this function...and maybe even build in a bit of security into it as well.
Liquid light - One of my favorite bistros in Seattle drops an elegant clear wine bottle at the table...filled with water generally. It feels somehow right to have this simple object next to you as you eat, even if it isn't filled with wine as you would expect. I thought it may make a wonderful glow for an intimate setting, perhaps with the top as a dimmer switch.
