Having fun checking out the new Sak's Fifth Ave window displays featuring Lily's dresses. Sak's always had the most amazing windows! Here they dressed mannequins in paper dresses made of sheet music to accompany Lily's dresses and rev up the excitement for San Francisco's famous Black and White Ball.

Sak's Fifth Ave's Lily Samii boutique...behind those walls was a whole crew of AMAZING fashionistas who could sell a $10,000 gown to ANYONE! They were very good at what they did!
Michelle and Lily after the Palace Hotel fashion show. Ironically Lily didn't like the smell of lilies.
Me, Gail, Rose, and Lucy...back stage at another show...we were always having moments back stage of uncontrolled laughter! Not in this picture tho...The uniforms were not a smooth transition but we pulled through! GO TEAM!
Most of the crew here...missing Karina and Laleh tho. Another fun evening!
Another example of the novel fabrics Lily worked with. Here silk taffetas, silk chiffons, hand beaded lace over silk charmeuse, and an absolutely amazing printed givre faille.

Lily Samii and team, 2000-2003

Here are photographs of some of the Lily Samii products created while I was working with them, in San Francisco, September 2000 - August 2003. Sak's Fifth Ave in Union Square was one of our best accounts. Most of these photo's were taken on their sales floor or in front of their amazing window displays. Others are behind the scenes at fashion shows and PR events. This was all I could dig up...Bummer, because there were so many incredible events we were part of, so many lavish gala's, and even more grand openings where our clients were at and wearing Lily Samii designs. I've never seen more beautiful fabrics than the ones Lily used! There is nothing better than holding $1,000 per yard fabrics in your hands. NOTHING FEELS BETTER and this probably is where the term "hand" came from! Oh those laces and novelty fabrics...and who could forget about the 4 ply silk crepe...Lily's go to fabric, and it takes color to a whole new level. WOW!
