The stonework overwhelms abruptly as one set foot in the space. View towards the sea is partially covered, evoking curiosity, and urges the user to proceed to the second storey for a better view of the sea.
View towards the sea is entirely covered at the ramp, it evokes curiosity and encourages the user to walk through it.
With patience, the user reaches the second storey. The view towards the sea is framed up and revealed. The space is dominated by smooth white stucco, which is subtle, to accentuate the beauty of the sea-view.
Contrast is achieved by using visually and physically rough material for the first level, and smooth material for the second level.
