BMW Keyless Entry

The Keyless entry device project focused on user experience and simplicity of use. A detailed attention to user pain-points on existing devices drove a design to eliminate the chance of unintentionally unlocking your car. The concept re-imagined a mechanically symmetric form where the user could hold the device in any orientation without changing the operation. This feature meant the key could be used in a dark carpark or inside a handbag without looking or cautiously feeling for the correct button. The development process included creation of brand personas to assist in function design as well as styling.
