DESIGN FOR SPACE

Architecture without textiles is a shell; furniture without textiles is only structure. Textiles are increasingly important in making architecture and spaces dynamic, interactive and experiential. Here in this project I tried understanding interaction and structure along with concepts of sustainability, modularity and usability. Taking a terrace as a space I developed a textile canopy structure keeping all the factors in mind. Thus understanding ‘space making‘ become essential for a textile design student.
