Couple Chair

The Couple Chair is the result of a four week team project in which myself and five other design students created a piece of furniture to celebrate different levels of intimacy. This piece of furniture is comprised of two facing chairs joined together in a way that allows them to slide laterally: allowing the couple to sit side by side, directly face to face or anywhere in between. The final products are a 1:6 scale aesthetic model and a full scale functional test rig of the concept.
