Jorge Del Castillo Schiffino

Mr. Del Castillo Schiffino is a Colombian born Architect, graduated with honors from the UJTL University in Cartagena de Indias, where he received the Jorge Tadeo Lozano Prize, the highest academic honor the Institution can bestow.

In 2004, after having worked for several renowned Architectural firms in Cartagena, he moved to Miami where he started to work as a Lead Designer for Borges & Associates Architects, developing large scale projects in the United States, Latin America and the Middle East.

He moved to Spain in 2007, where he completed a Master of Architecture from the ETSAM, the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, one of the most iconic and prestigious architecture schools in the world. During that time period he collaborated with 2G Arquitectos.

In 2015 he spent a summer with RCR Arquitectes (Pritzker Prize Laureates) in Olot, researching experimental multifamily housing typologies that could be adaptable to multiple locations, uses and programs.

Mr. Del Castillo Schiffino is a Registered Architect in Colombia. He also holds a degree in Conservation and Restoration of the Architectural Heritage, Postgraduate studies in Landscape Architecture by the University of Barcelona and advanced studies in History and Theory from the online platform of Harvard University GSD.

In 2018 was nominated for the Architect of the Year Award by the Colombian Society of Architects.
