Mega-Corporate Identities for the Future - Every corporation has a vision for the future, but what exactly will that be? It is a fact that today corporations are constantly getting bigger. The more a company had merged, the more abstract and anonymous their new identities became. What would happen if the top 15 largest corporations in the USA and in the world merged together? Series of four A1 posters, 2 visual research books and thesis.
We Are Committed... - I believe there isn't information available to the public about ownership among companies, products and brands. I researched and visualized the corporate hierarchy structure of Altria Group, Inc. Altria was created in 2003 as the parent company of Philip Morris USA, Philip Morris International, Philip Morris Capital Corporation, Kraft Foods, and SABMiller. The name Altria was made to unify these companies.
Bricks Seen on the Way to Work - Book documents the bricks I saw on my way to work in Chicago, all presented at equal scale. 59 original photographs comment on the banality inherent in a daily work routine. Ink jet color prints on vellum, edition of 3 books, 8” x 3.5”, 61 pages.
Untitled - Products I use were unbranded into a generic packaging system. Two brands in each product category emphasizes how logos, imagery and personalities are essential in identifying products, and how these brands are meant to reflect who we are. Hardly anything has been left unbranded. Installation of 22 packages, each 6.25” x 5”.
Cute On Demand - Book is a mock consumer catalog for Sanrio where any of their 117 cute cartoon characters can be adapted into 198 different product designs, ranging from cars to vacuum cleaners. Ink jet color prints on tracing paper, 8" x 11", 202 pages.
16 Thank You Plastic Shopping Bags - Book shows a collection of 16 plastic shopping bags with different Thank You graphics. Ink jet color prints on vellum, edition of 3 books, 7.5” x 9.5”, 19 pages.
Hot Dogs and Luxury Condos - Book reflects my personal observation of the graphic representations used for hot dog stands and new construction condominiums within my immediate surroundings in Chicago. 104 original photographs and location descriptions collected over a course of 3 years are presented throughout. Ink jet color prints on newsprint, 5” x 3”, 112 pages.
