This project was originally briefed for AW25 but was moved forward a season as a fast-track project. I had roughly 4 months from initial 2d sketch to tooling release cad. I began with quick sketches and moved to 3d quickly to determine the pantoscopic angle of the goggle lens while maintaining a seamless fit to the helmet and user. Refinement of the goggle frame, face foam, slider design, padding and earpads followed. 3d prints were created and validated through fit testing. The final design direction was completed in 3D within the first month and development with the vendor began. Completing this complex project in such a ridiculously short time was a huge accomplishment for me especially during Covid.
