My resume is varied and constantly expanding, as I thrive on learning new things and expanding my skill set. Working for major educational publishers in both a freelance and full-time capacity, I have had the opportunity to work on templates and layouts for basal textbooks, supplemental programs, companion CDs, companion Web sites, and training materials.
In addition, I also have several years of experience in various capacities such as:
- a production artist for newspapers/magazines
- an illustrator for scientific/mathematical/educational publications piecesi
- an informational graphics designer for a newspaper and a magazine
- an artist for a marketing/design firm that produced sales and marketing materials, sell sheets, forms, corporate identity packages and Power point presentations
-performing administrative functions such as maintaining budgets, advanced spreadsheet functions, filing, database troubleshooting, data entry, travel arrangements, payments, reconciliation, vendor negotiation, and basic bookkeeping.
Recently, I have made the transition into web design and development, taking classes in advanced Photoshop (for advanced photo editing, fashion editing, and web comp/banner design), Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, and designing for mobile devices, while at the same time maintaining a freelance graphics business. I hope to get some sites live soon, and also learn some of the more advanced development languages such as PHP and Ruby. -
