As a creative professional my most rewarding moments occur for me while giving substance to ideas through meaningful solutions and iconic designs for the outdoor end user experience.

My enjoyment of the outdoors comes from growing up on a small ranch surrounded by green hills and a lake to fish. The creative journey started with national award-winning illustrations of wildlife as a teenager that later evolved into my product design education and industry award winning career.

That's why I'm a product design and development leader that enjoys inspiring teams to be their creative best celebrating the outdoors. I have had the privilege to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of brands such as Wilson Sporting Goods, Thomson Consumer Electronics, Stanley Black & Decker, Oakley, NEBO, Plano Molding, Barnett, Halo Power, Mophie, Halo Optics, Tenzing, Zebco, Fin-Nor, Quantum, THAW, TRUE knives and Skeeter Hawk.

I’m also a 3D printing hobbyist, enjoy martial arts and am a transportation design contributor for Charles Bombardier.

      ACCOMPLISHMENTS
► Lead the development of the ID studio and in-house design capability from its beginning.

► As a result of streamlining factory communication and design documentation I moved prototype sample times for soft lines ahead 10 months within two years.

► Developed and implemented additional outside design resources that enabled quick design sprints and qualitative research gathering for maximum impact during projects with short lead times. This initiative expanded our design capability by 300% without negatively impacting budget.

► Formalized an innovation pipeline by encouraging “exploratory project” initiatives. This was accomplished by championing design thinking practices that encourage a bias toward action, and moving quickly into prototypes to test possible solutions against identified opportunities. I brought rapid prototyping capabilities in-house, opened direct lines of communication with factory sample departments and engineers, and implemented Human Centered Design templates for NPD teams.
