Ideation - Assignment: Design and build a lamp or other lighting intended to use a low voltage halogen bulb.
Time Frame: Ten Weeks
Ideation - The final design plays with the notion and characteristics of lightwaves. By creating a ridged geometric structure, one that tightly binds the shade, the design conflicts with common lamp types that typical freely and conveniently present the light to the user.
When on, the ridged and monotone lamp reveals a hidden nature. The pink paper has the appearance of organic living tissue and serves as an allegory for lights life-like properties.
Initial Concept - The Office of the Future will be a Global Office, one in which the cubicles and boardrooms of today will be replaced by airport terminals, hotel lobbies and public “business parks”. As International business men and woman become more and more model they will require a venue to access the amenities and services that were once provided by a local office while traveling. My aim is to provide them with such a venue.

Assignment: Design and model a child's rocker toy in Solidworks - The dinosaur concept was ultimately used due to its universal appeal and playful design. The complex organic forms also provided quite a challenge, considering Solidworks somewhat mechanical modeling process, and was used as a way to fully explore the software’s capabilities.

Ideation - Assignment: Redesign a vacuum, with consideration to internal component placement.

Time Frame: 10 weeks
Final Model - The final design is clean and geometric. One of the challenges was designing a handle that didn't feel tacked on. To solve this problem, a circular handle was developed and the body designed around that dominate feature. The result is a continual harmony that draws the eye throughout the concentric circles.
Ideation - I wanted to build something that had complex mechanical forms as a way to fully explore the software’s capabilities. Several all-terrain type vehicles were considered before finally deciding on the sandrail style dune buggy.
Assignment: Design and model a product using Alias StudioTools - The final design is aggressive and emphasizes speed and agility. A custom, 1.6 L air-cooled VW engine and massive rear paddle tires afford power and dexterity over sandy terrain.
Ideation - Assignment: Develop a chair or other form of seating with an emphasis on material and form.

Time Frame: Ten Weeks
Solution - The final solution contradicts the notion of a couch being something that is merely sat on and introduces the concepts of interactivity and customization. Each cushion becomes individual, with its own size, shape and density, allowing the user to play with and explore the possible nature of the couch.
Gamecube Reliquary - Assignment: Build a small table or reliquary to house an object of choice.

Time Frame: Ten Weeks

Solution: The concept is sort of a throwback to the days when consumer electronics, such as turntables and phonographs, were housed in large chest-like cabinets. It is made entirely out of ash, using mortise-and-tenon joints.
Character Design - The assingment was to design costumes for Shakespear's Othello.
