Studio MM is seeking an Assistant Creative Director for a full-time or part-time position assisting with social media, marketing, and graphics presentation.
Studio MM is a 13-person residential architecture firm located in NYC and the Hudson Valley. Our work is driven by collaborative relationships with our clients and within our team. Most of our current projects are custom high-end homes outside of NYC.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who is capable of working both independently and within a team environment. While much of our work is self-directed, we enjoy brainstorming ideas, sketching out presentation concepts and media strategies as a team. You’ll be working closely with our firm’s Founder and Principal Architect, Director of Operations and Development, and our Creative Director, but will also be responsible for coordinating graphics with each of our firm’s Project Managers. This role is ideal for someone who is adept at moving from one project to another and who enjoys collaborating with multiple roles and people across the firm.
For both a full-time and part-time position, responsibilities will include:
Creating social media content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms in collaboration with our Creative Team and Project Managers
Writing and editing project descriptions and other marketing text for social media and other platforms
Creating and editing video content for projects, team events and behind-the-scenes moments
Assisting with and eventually spearheading some blog posts (writing and media)
Assisting with creation of awards submissions, promotional materials for events and website graphics
For a full-time position, additional responsibilities may include:
Assisting with graphics creation for individual projects, including rendering, conceptual axon drawings or collaged inspiration boards
Creating and collaboratively designing presentation materials for development projects
Participating in development of marketing plans, ideas and content
Creating PR materials for publications
Performing additional research and content sourcing for blog posts and Instagram
Preferred skills (Both part-time and full-time):
Adept at graphics creation in Adobe programs (Photoshop and InDesign required, Illustrator a plus)
Strong writing and listening skills
Proficiency in AutoCad, SketchUp, Enscape or Wordpress is a plus, but not required
An enthusiasm to learn and grow within the position and in the team
Strong interest in art, architecture and design
An interest in narrative storytelling with an eye towards firm goals and project intent
At heart, we are a group of creatives who enjoy collaborating in a fun and energetic studio environment and are looking for someone who is genuinely excited to join the team. The position is being offered as either full-time (40 hrs/wk) or part-time (20 hrs/wk), with flexibility for the right candidate. For full-time employees, we offer health benefits, paid time off, and a 401k package.These benefits are scaled for part-time employees. Compensation will depend upon experience, but a full-time position will likely fall in the range of 50-55k.
