As a candidate for Landscape Forms Design Director, you are a seasoned designer with an affinity for architectural elegance, a fascination with the fusion of art and technology — and a passion for outdoor spaces.

A member of our senior creative team, the Design Director will report to our Chief Creative Officer and will enjoy the opportunity to lead and influence the Landscape Forms brand, product portfolio and culture. They will work with all levels of the organization and will direct a variety of creative resources such as industrial designers, graphic artists, and photographers, among others. The ability to both provide high-level vision and execute with detail is a must.

Additionally, the Design Director will help shape the future-state of our credo “Design. Culture. Craft.” — identifying new trends and innovations in the site furniture, structure and lighting categories, and providing influencing ideas to enhance productivity, inspire creativity, and ensure our design and market leadership.

Job Requirements: Ten or more years of in-depth experience in product design, and design management. An in-depth understanding of the furnishings industry, industrial design, art history, design history, photography, the visual arts, and architecture. Strong people leadership skills in order to select, delegate, develop, and inspire the creative team is imperative. Relationship and consensus-building skills to manage projects in a complex matrixed environment will be critical. Must be enthusiastic about designing and presenting superb presentations. Create professional level presentations of ideas; from loose sketch to detailed renderings to digital presentation. The candidate must communicate effectively when relaying vision and creative concepts to design teams, external audiences and company stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and work with all levels in the organization.
