With the evolving national and local guidelines for office reopening and careful consideration for personnel health and safety, all posted positions are currently remote. Once Two Twelve’s office is able to safely reopen, employees are expected to transition to working on-site in New York City.
Design Project Manager
You are proactive, have a knack for forecasting and mitigating problems before they arise and are able to put yourself in our clients’ shoes. You are highly detail-oriented and have a supernatural talent for recall. You are an effective communicator and collaborator that can easily adapt to shifting priorities. You are able to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and style.
At Two Twelve the role of Design Project Manager is much more than just a facilitator. You have a track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. You clarify and represent our clients’ needs and goals throughout the project lifecycle. Your background in design enables you to ensure the project design intent and client's standards are maintained. You will participate in internal and external meetings and are equally comfortable at facilitating discussions and making client presentations.
As Project Manager, you will be the day-to-day liaison between the client and the design team. You will:
-Manage client expectations with clear communications and confident leadership
-Initiate and maintain contact with key project individuals for clarification, coordination and negotiation of critical issues
-Develop and manage work plans that outline project scope and time allocations
-Organize and prioritize tasks across multiple projects ensuring the forward momentum of all projects
-Take ownership of your projects, jumping in to problem-solve with the design team when needed
-Help define and review project deliverables to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy
-Assist the design team with construction administration tasks with an eye on maintaining the project scope and budget
Education: 4-year college degree (preferably in Graphic Design, Communication Design or related design field)
Experience: 5+ years of proven work experience in the design industry (preferably graphic design, signage and wayfinding, exhibits, interiors, architecture or construction trades) with exposure to project management or project coordination
Management Skills & Strengths:
-Able to organize and manage increasingly complex project types, outline tasks, and coordinate with the Creative Director
-At ease working collaboratively and independently when required
-Adaptive and comfortable balancing shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
-An effective communicator who clearly articulate their ideas verbally and visually
an open and positive personality
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent) and Adobe Creative Suite
