Job Description

Twentieth (www.twentieth.net), a leading contemporary design showroom and gallery, is seeking a Designer/Media Manager whose core areas of responsibility include website design and content updates (Magento), graphic design (marketing collateral and emailers via Mailchimp) and social media (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest). In addition, this job offers creative growth opportunities in the area of furniture and exhibition design.

An exceptional design eye and sense of style is essential.
This is a full-time, on-site job. This is not a freelance job, although it could start as a freelance position for the first month as a trial period.

The ideal candidate would have an excellent 2D design portfolio as well as 3D design and modeling skills. This job is especially suited to someone interested in furniture design who has mastered 2D design and also has sufficient 3D design skills to create design drawings for custom client orders based on our in-house design collection (Twentieth Studio), as well as generate new designs to expand the line.

Skills required:
Sketchup and/or other 3D software a plus.
Digital asset management knowledge and skills are essential.
Understanding of photography - how to assess, maintain and improve image quality using Photoshop.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills are mandatory.
Magento familiarity a plus (the Magento interface, coding not required).
3D modeling skills a plus (Sketchup, etc).
Mailchimp experience a plus.

Must have good evidence of previous work, including a strong portfolio, as well as excellent references. Writing samples a plus.

Duties include:
Design and implement social media and email campaigns.
Work with our PR person on visual and written media related to exhibitions, special events and other projects.
Design and implement website updates and revisions, both visual and written.
Supervise and coordinate with our Magento development team for web updates and fine-tuning.
Design marketing and in-house collateral and coordinate with printers.
Keep all digital assets organized on the server.
Coordinate with press as needed for media materials and information.
Create drawings for Twentieth Studio collection for client custom orders.
Generate design ideas, mock ups and proposals for furniture and other design and exhibition related projects.

Salary: $70,000. Benefits include paid vacation and health insurance with company contribution.
