It’s an exciting time at Navistar! We are seeking a senior-level Graphic Designer to join the Navistar Innovation and Design team. As part of the Traton Group, our team is involved with the development of emerging technologies, electrification, autonomous driving, and sustainability to create the future of the commercial truck and bus industry.
Responsibilities:
As a senior Graphic Designer, you will be an integral part of the team helping to transform the industry. Come be a part of our rich history in Innovation and Design and help us envision the future together.
Produces 2-D graphic design solutions for both interior and exterior of a vehicle
Work with the UI/UX team to co-develop digital interfaces, Instrumentation / controls nomenclature
Development of vehicle branding, badges, and other 2-D related designs
Works cross functionally with Design, Engineering and Marketing Teams
Utilizes specialized knowledge of the graphic design process, standards, and production requirements
Hybrid remote working option after training period
What You’ll Do:
Be familiar with the current product portfolio of Navistar
Research and benchmark the competition and future trends
Research future trends in product design to forecast application to Navistar products
Develop 2D concepts via manual and digital sketching and rendering
Develop both verbal and visual presentations to present to management to support concepts
Be proactive
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, environmental graphic design, information design, communication design or similar
Written and verbal communication/documentation
Manual 2D sketching skills
Strong familiarity with all core design applications, traditional typographic and art techniques and any other related material or production
Creative, out of the box thinker, ability to show creativity and be on trend within corporate guidelines
Extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask
Strong conceptual, layout, and presentation skills – be able to stand behind your work and your design choices while being flexible to pivot direction when needed
Works well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator with CAD tools, Photoshop), Microsoft Suite
