Job Description

Overview
In this role, you’ll design user-centric digital products and experiences for Upswell’s research, institutional, and social sector partners. You will collaborate with our software developers, art directors, and content strategists to create websites, apps, installations, and immersive environments. Our ideal candidate brings a strategic understanding of interaction, user experience, and product design to solve ambiguous problems. You are curious about user motivations, and believe early prototyping and iterative design will help meet their needs.

What You’ll Do
— Work collaboratively to establish interaction and user experience concepts, approaches, and scenarios
— Create and develop design specifications, including wireframes, user flows, site maps, storyboards, and prototypes
— Interact with clients to elicit and clarify business, functional, and content requirements
— Facilitate design and testing workshops (on-site, remote), synthesize findings, and generate insights

What We Require
— 2-4 years experience working in a collaborative interaction and user experience design and/or product design environment
— Excellent attention to detail and the finer points of execution
— Demonstrated ability to articulate and justify a design rationale
— Demonstrated experience with design prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch and the Adobe Creative Suite
— Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
