Job Description
Courtney Hill Interiors is seeking a full-time talented and motivated Project Architect / Interior Designer with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-end residential and/or commercial design / architecture.
Position Description:
In collaboration with the principal and team members of the firm, this individual will do the following:
- Source and select interior materials and architectural elements for each project. This includes millwork, paint, appliances, plumbing, lighting, flooring, stone, tile, fabrics, wallpaper, etc.
- Create detailed drawings, renderings and elevations (with the use of AutoCAD, Sketch-Up or other rendering programs, and by hand)
- Prepare meeting documents & presentations such as mood boards, materials schedules, furniture specifications with pricing, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, builders, external architect teams, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders, project budgets, and any schedules necessary to facilitate a project.
Qualifications Required:
- Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- At least three years of professional experience with a high-end interior design or architecture firm
- High proficiency with AutoCAD software
- Proficiency in SketchUp or other rendering software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to multi-task and work independently at a fast pace; self-motivated and flexible
- An understanding of construction codes
- Strong attention to detail and organization
