Being a part of the team means you will be working directly with Product and technology teams to design and build the latest evolution of our enterprise-wide design system. In addition to designing for the products you work on, you will collaborate with other UX designers, our design system standards team, as well as other Product teams to build revolutionary new financial products. ?Whether it is a redesign of an existing app, a new mobile experience, or an AI-powered chatbot, UX designers are involved at every step of the software development lifecycle.
We are looking for something who knows how to balance collaboration and independence in their day-to-day work. A successful candidate will know how to influence the decision-making process, defend their designs with data and UX principles, and bring a seasoned UX perspective to every project.
What you will do:
-Lead UX process on any assigned project by engaging with application teams, visual design, and UX researchers to deliver validated, user-first, designs.
-Work with product teams to produce designs on time and consistent with our new design system principles and patterns.
-Collaborate with the UX team to build solutions quickly and consistently while striking a balance between new feature innovation and a rapid delivery/feedback cycle.
-Be a voice for the user on assigned projects. From launching research to advocating for simpler solutions, the UX lead is an advocate for the user-centered design process & FactSet users.
-Create new patterns and components by collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and UI Standards engineers.
-Drive UX culture across the organization by promoting design thinking, design principles, and a user-first mindset.
-Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or related field
-Minimum of 6 years’ work or equivalent experience in a UX or product design role.
-Experience designing responsively or across multiple platforms (web, tablet, phone).
-Experience with data visualization, data-centric applications, and complex data sets.
-Portfolio of work demonstrating solid interaction design skills: wireframes, prototypes, design walkthroughs, specifications.
-Experience with all parts of user experience design with a focus on information hierarchy, user workflow mapping, heuristic evaluations, and building practical wireframes.
-Experience developing enterprise-wide standard components, patterns, and solutions.
-A true passion for delivering great user-experiences and solving solutions quickly with a bias towards action, delivery, and feedback.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate in meetings and in documentation form.
-Ability to think strategically, collaborate productively, and problem-solve effectively.
-Experience with enterprise or B2B corporate products and working environments.
-Institutional finance experience.
-Experience using Figma.
