Job Summary:

Our dynamic team, located in Charlotte, North Carolina is passionate about creating innovative products through a user centered design approach. The Manager of CMF Design at TTI Floor Care will sit within a collaborative, multi-disciplined Industrial Design & Consumer Insights group focused on new product development. In this role you will be leading the color, material and finish strategy as well as the final execution across all our brands. You will collaborate with a diverse group of Engineers, Industrial Designers, and Marketers to bring our brands to life through meaningful new product experiences.



Responsibilities:

Lead the CMF design strategy for Dirt Devil, Hoover and Oreck brands by developing and bringing to market CMF applications that are meaningful to our target consumers.
Manage multiple projects that range from creating CMF strategy to tactical product execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams that include Industrial Design, Consumer Insights, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Marketing.
Lead the CMF Design of our products from concept, through various stages of development, and into production.
Build and curate visual tools, presentations, and processes for color, material and finish inspiration and development.
Generate CMF Design Specifications, project and material development timing plans, mastering of material samples.
Facilitates assets related to CMF and ensure they are authentic, meaningful, and activate new and untapped markets.
Blend art and science through the use of consumer insights, trend forecasting, and color data to help the business make informed decisions.
Craft rendering and artwork to demonstrate and execute the CMF Design strategy.
Maintain color and material libraries for execution and inspiration purposes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree Color and Material Design, Product, Fashion or Industrial Design or equivalent
At least 6 years' experience in CMF experience and development of consumer products
Managerial experience is preferred
Software Tools: Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Powerpoint and Excel
Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities
Can drive a process/continue to iterate on improvements to the process
Has a great grasp on new trends/working with consumer insights to drive those initiatives
Is well informed and has their finger on the pulse of current color trends in regards to art, fashion, design, outdoor, automotive, and sport related research to keep ahead of consumer needs and expectations.
Validation of colors/working with samples and working with engineering to develop new colors.
Strong communication, organization, presentation and collaboration skills
Understands color development and how to achieve desired results with vendors
Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills
A deep understanding of the product development process
Experience working with Global Manufacturing Partners
A "never settle" attitude
Portfolio should include strong and successful CMF application and implementation in showcasing and the abilities for this role
Some overnight domestic travel
Upon an interview, must be prepared to present on a project and its methodology
