At Cactus, we’re not really the bragging type – we like to let our work do the talking. But, we love to brag about our in-house media group. Lately this team has been on a roll, growing rapidly in both sophistication and in size, and we’re continuing to add new in-house offerings and take on new client partners. We’re looking for a Media Supervisor to join our crew and help us take our media offering to the next level. This is a full-time position that we are looking to fill immediately.
Our Media team is structured around Client-Leads, overseeing all media planning and buying activities for their specific book of business, and working closely with our Subject Matter Expert teams to develop recommendations, implement, optimize and report on media performance. This Media Supervisor role will serve as one of our “Client-Leads” – directly responsible for the success of multiple Cactus media clients. Your day-to-day will focus on partnering closely with media clients to gather intel, become an expert on their business, develop paid media strategy recommendations, while partnering with our team of planners to develop tactical media recommendations, and overseeing the execution and reporting of those campaigns.
This role will also be responsible for some hands-on media planning and buying work, preparing tactical recommendations, trafficking and pulling reporting. Think of yourself like a player-coach – both leading a team and making it happen yourself.
This is a Denver-based job that is remote for now during COVID-19 workplace restrictions.
Serve as the primary day-to-day partner for multiple Cactus media clients, responsible for developing a deep understanding of their business, media needs, and measurement plans.
Oversee development of program strategies and analysis for clients, collaborating closely with Account, Creative and Strategy teams to ensure that work is strategically aligned and on brief.
Manage a team of media planning / buying subject matter experts, with specific emphasis on digital media including search, social, and programmatic display/video/native.
Expertly guide and manage relationships between media planners, account directors and clients to consistently deliver high-quality, inspiring work and grow our business.
Provide thoughtful feedback to Media planners, using performance evaluation and internal process improvement to develop and motivate talent.
Play a key role in developing new client relationships.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and identify areas of development within emerging markets.
Oversee and participate in the development of RFPs, the final buy recommendation, buy summaries, and campaign measurements.
Present proposals with media and cost schedules to clients.
Develop and present concise results decks highlighting the relevant learning gained and recommendations for future campaigns.
Provide consultative strategic direction to your accounts and identify appropriate programs and services to meet client needs.
Oversee reporting, traffic measurement, and ROI analysis.
Experience with digital and traditional campaign management tools, including ad-serving, tracking, and analysis.
Deep knowledge of advertising metrics such as impressions, clicks, click-through rate, conversions, and cost per conversion.

7+ years in media planning and management within an Advertising Agency
1+ year in a Supervisor or equivalent role
A strong understanding of traditional and digital media tactics
An exceptional grasp on media planning, negotiation, and performance analysis across all media, with an impressive understanding of the digital environment - you know this world by heart and you keep pulse with the rapid changes happening within it
Possess demonstrable experience working in both B2B and B2C environments, as well as specific client experience within the Finance, Travel & Tourism, and Healthcare verticals
Possess outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Be detail-oriented, very organized, able to multitask, and work well under pressure
Articulate, intelligent, and credible individual, who is a self-starter and keen to make a difference in a growing business with existing clients
Have experience with research resources such as Kantar, MRI, Comscore, Nielsen, Resonate/Simmons and other research/planning tools
Experience with lead generation / conversion media activities is a plus
Strong project management and performance management skills
Detail-oriented with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to travel as needed (subject to COVID conditions, of course)
