The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their customers and assigned areas, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. Responsible for performing data analysis to recognize trends and/or patterns and adjusting forecasts accordingly. You must be able to work from our headquarters in Wilton, CT.


Collaborate with Demand Planning Lead to develop initial forecast modeling based on historical data and causal factors. Evaluates impact of promotional strategy on the forecast including product placement, various promotion types, acquisition methods, etc. and makes recommendations to meet margin and profit goals
Understand the dynamics of assigned areas of coverage and items, including: seasonality, competitive activity, trends, ad plans, category role, sales objectives, sales drivers and life cycle plans
Provide input into S&OP supply planning process on key forecast changes and monthly volume
Support the S&OP demand planning process and works with the Sales team to understand the latest volume estimates
Assist in creating a demand plan at the SKU level, customer and DC level (in dollars and units)
Meet daily/weekly with supply planners to discuss key in-stock and inventory issue
Partner with account managers to review vendor scorecards to resolve chronic issues such as vendor compliance chargers, fill rate, forecast accuracy, etc. to ensure a world-class customer experience
Collaborate  with the Supply Planners to ensure proper stock levels and allocation for Promotional and Seasonal items, collaborate with suppliers on make plans, and factory capacity analysis
New item forecasting and product life-cycle management
Provide category forecast growth assumptions as an input into the monthly S&OP process

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, and/or Logistics preferred
1-3  years of experience in Demand planning
Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical experience
Experience in professional reporting techniques
Experience in statistical modeling techniques and concepts of forecasting
Working knowledge of DSX, Oracle (Demantra) or JDE planning system preferred
Ideal candidate will be curious, self-teaching, autonomous, agile/flexible, and challenge the status quo. 
Willing to work in the Wilton, CT office 2 - 3 days per week.
