Lina Mayorga is a New York-based womenswear and menswear brand whose mission is to break stereotypes about sustainability in the fashion industry while creating beautiful and modern clothes. Lina Mayorga is a sustainable vegan fashion designer and advocate, graduated from Parsons The New School of Design, winner of the ISKO ISKOOL Denim Talent Award 2020, and finalist of the Redress Sustainable Design Award 2017. Born in Colombia and based in New York City.
Lina Mayorga's clothing is made with organic, recycling, or up-cycled materials and designed with zero-waste techniques. No leather, Fur, or Silk. Lina Mayorga’s work is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and wants to break the stereotypes of sustainable clothing.
We are looking for an intern to join our Design team who is passionate, hardworking, detail-oriented, and a creative thinker. This internship is Unpaid for now.
-Gain an understanding of how products are developed from concept to reality, sustainable practices, organic and vegan materials, and start-up process
-Create/ expand portfolio project with the guidance of designer.
-Develop an understanding of the many roles in the creation of products for future career options
-Available 2-3 days per week
-Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiency
-Microsoft Excel proficiency
-Hand/machine sewing skills
-Detail orientation and strong organizational skills
-Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
-Access to a computer with Zoom capability

Support Lina Mayorga in the development process through:
? Ability to develop CAD Flats for LM designs and assisting in updating existing CADs.
? Ecommerce and social media graphic assistance and posting.
? Rendering sketches in print colorways and fabrics.
? Assisting with Design/Market research for trims and details and trends
? Assisting in developing custom prints, helping with cleaning prints, colorways as needed
? Maintaining digital library organization of sketches, files, artwork as needed
? Email Handling.
? Assisting with additional creative projects as they arise to support Design
