We are seeking a Senior Experiential Designer to join our team. We prioritize aesthetic integrity at every turn, and the design team plays a crucial role in transforming creative ideas into tangible experiences through 2D & 3D elements. The Designer will be responsible for overseeing projects from proposal through execution, managing all facets of the process from art direction, consumer journey, and design development to print files and fabrication drawings. Additionally, she/he should positively contribute to making Invisible North’s culture an envy of the industry; where great people with great vibes make great work, every day.
This position is contract to hire.
_Concepting & brainstorming for proposals
_Deck creation showcasing creative development for active projects & proposals
_Owning multiple full project scopes from initial concept through execution
_Creating moodboards / floorplans / 3D renderings / elevations / mockups / diagrams
_Collaborating with & managing other designers / copywriters throughout design process
_Working with a larger team of producers and strategists to meet client goals, and lead from design standpoint
_Presenting design ideas directly to clients
_Communicating with fabricators to ensure designed elements are produced with integrity and according to budget
_Creating production and mechanical files for print and scenic elements
_Sourcing props / rentals / decor
_Managing onsite installation alongside production team
Skills / Qualifications:
_4+ years experience at an agency or in-house with a focus on spatial design
_Ability to work in 2D & 3D
_Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp (plus rendering plugins) or similar, Google Docs, Keynote
_Experience in creating production and mechanical files for print and scenic elements
_Bachelor's degree+ in Environmental/Exhibition Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design or related field
_Extremely organized & excellent time management
_Based in NYC and able to work in-office
