The Digital Designer strategically develops creative content for our ZAGG and mophie brands – both internally and externally partnering with leaders to meet creative, marketing, brand, and business objectives. Core areas of responsibility for this position includes everything from product page design to email layouts and paid ads to Amazon content.

The Digital Designer must be ready and able to create on-brand content that is relevant, entertaining, and distinctive. You will be an evangelist for our products and brand story. The Digital Designer is ultimately responsible for all conceptual development and visual production for their creative tasks - from idea to execution. Developing and crafting design solutions for, email campaigns, product launch assets, promos, Amazon, Google paid ads, and our social media platforms.

Salary: $80,000 to $90,000.00

90% Design and Production

• Take digital design projects from ideation to completion
• Develop story-driven content across digital channels including our website and Amazon pages
• Create and execute innovative, customer-centric designs by integrating marketing objectives, target audience data, and product story content
• Understand brand standards to ensure that assets are accurately produced based on approved style guidelines
• Produce visual content and layout design for website product pages, category pages, landing pages, emails, banner ads, etc.
• Responsible for fulfilling web-focused tasks; hero banners, gallery tiles, carousel images, headers, graphics, etc.
• Create accurate production files based on approved style guides and front-end development requests
• Develop digital mockups using SKETCH and moderate the proofing process
• Collaborate across multiple creative teams to drive execution of all asset types (video, photo, 3D, copy, social, etc.)
• Work with creative leads to ensure that timelines, resources, and budget allocations meet project scope
• Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, and Product leads in defining and executing on e-commerce initiatives
• Build strategic partnerships with the Digital team, inspiring and delivering strategic design that drives traffic and activates shoppers to buy
• Dive deep into data to find meaningful insights that inform visual communication and product story decisions
• Communicate product stories using customer journey maps, prototypes, storyboards, wireframes, shot lists, and mockups
• Ensures and maintains a positive environment with team members
• Represent the Creative Team in overall leadership, setting the example for creative excellence and always leading by example
• Inspire and motivate the creative team by promoting a high-performance fun environment, a strong sense of urgency, quality standards, creative exploration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Translate business objectives to brand and product visual design
• Conceptualize multiple creative solutions to address social media objectives and strategies
• Develop advertising ideas to promote brand messaging and original product stories
• Continuously promote and evolve the Brand Style Guide to drive brand consistency across consumer touch points
• Participate in resourcing for the creative team which includes planning production schedules and adjusting resources as necessary on current project
• Participate in freelance and production crew recruiting efforts, which includes proactively identifying and bringing in creative talent and contributing to sound hiring decisions
• Lead visual content team members and occasional freelancers to effectively meet workload and maintain standards of production excellence
• Mentor and coaches team members through project development and performance management
• Collaborate effectively with cross functional partners, including Brand, Social, Marketing, and Product
• Ideate and collaborate directly with the Creative Director, Senior Art Director, Copywriters, Photographers, etc.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, with at least 3-5 years of experience using the software.
• Demonstrated ability to create and edit high-quality graphics, including but not limited to photo manipulation, retouching, and compositing.
• Strong knowledge of design principles such as color theory, typography, and composition, and the ability to apply them in a range of projects.
• Experience working on a variety of design projects, including digital materials, web graphics, and social media content.
• Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Illustrator and figma is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present design concepts and revisions effectively to clients or stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience managing and organizing large libraries of assets, including photos, logos, and other design elements.
• Willingness to stay up-to-date on emerging design trends and tools, and to continually improve skills.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of advertising/brand design experience
• Sample portfolio of 5+ creative projects, exhibiting strong skills in visual design, with additional competency with typography, color, composition, and photography
• A demonstrated interest in current industry trends, news, and developments
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant software
• Basic understanding of social media platforms, formats, and best practices for social and ad content
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
