Job Description

PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Senior Graphics Designer that uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media. Generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
• Illustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites. Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
• Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and/or supervisors and making necessary changes.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.
• Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.
• Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.
• Develop negatives and prints to produce layout photographs, using negative and print developing equipment and tools.
• Photograph layouts, using camera, to make layout prints for supervisors or clients.
• Produce still and animated graphics for video production, using electronic video equipment.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
• Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
• Be responsible for remaining current within area of expertise, not only relative to market, but in relation to known published advances in the pertinent body of knowledge.

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related discipline, plus a minimum 8 years’ direct graphic design experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, interpersonal and team skills.
• Strong creative thinking, organization and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions & constraints.
• The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep up with the administrative requirements of the position.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in an Apple (Mac) computer environment.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 & CSS Initiative and project ownership. Follows directives from management, but is responsible for achieving tasks and goals independently.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
• Working knowledge of digital video and photography, and image editing
• Understanding of the printing process and specifications.
• Familiarity with production and rendering methods, including drawing, offset printing, photography, interactive media.
• Excellent technical knowledge of Company and products.
