This prototype featured A Vacuum-formed Cushion Cage (Translucent component) with a PU injected Column Support Mid-sole. An extremely rough concept was brought to me for further design and development which ultimately worked rather well.

Half of my footwear career has involved design and direction of Advanced Concept projects. Mostly components or systems of components. The real treat was being 5 to 10 years out researching new manufacturing processes along with harnessing them to be suitable for footwear implementation, align with trends in fashion, in house design and consumer behavior.
