Design Diagrams - The first diagram starting at the left is the site of the Edmund Bacon Competition in Philadelphia. The second is existing Interstate 95. The third is the new roads that we propose to create. The fourth are the functional quadrants we created and the last diagram are the quadrant details of our chosen area.
Proposed Bypass - The proposed bypass functions in two parts. A larger bypass reroutes traffic around the perimeter of Philadelphia. The I-95 corridor is also bypassed by rerouting the interstate through New Jersey.

Ed Bacon Competition - Excise to Revitalize

The goal of the Ed Bacon Competition was to devise a solution for the problem proposed by the I-95 corridor in Philadelphia, PA. The excision of I-95 and creating a bypass was half of the solution for this problem. The other half was remap the land-use of the area and make it more pedestrian friendly.
