For a glassblowing class at CCA, I designed and fabricated three lights, inspired by a visit to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden tropical greenhouse. During the day, the light is off, and becomes a sculptural accent. At night, after the greenhouse has closed, the UV lights emit a mysterious purple glow to provide the plants with the light they need.
