Kaya is a pouch designed to hold pads for young girls that have just started menstruating. My goal was to bring context and intention to the experience of leaving class to go to the bathroom to change a pad, while encouraging communication between girls to improve self esteem and encourage confidence. Sold as a period kit, Kaya allows girls to chronicle and share their experiences, and look back on them with a healthy and positive mindset.
