SketchUp image. This is a partial scene, just the furniture and overall image, not the wall graphics, or ceiling details, which were handled separately.
Vizcom preliminary raw image. Image pops a little bit more than some others, maybe because there are a few more reflections, including the nice black table and the wood flooring. I think this was my first result and I was alrealdy sold.
Another Vizcom preliminary raw image. Sofa is the wrong color but could be fixed; still appreciate the look and the subtle reflections on the flooring, walls even detailing on couch.
Vizoid preliminary raw image. I miss some reflections on all surfaces, and a little bit distiurbing to see the "wood" couch. Nice representation of rug.
Vizoid prelminary raw iamge. Couch still seems a little bit "wood-like," and missing reflections on all surfaces. Nice interpretation of rug.
Rendair preliminary raw image. Lots of nice rendering quality but much in the wrong places and overdone. Why the piping around the sofa, no black table, too fancy rug, a "lit-up" pouf. Wonderful rendering quality but lots of misrepresentations. End up wishing the renderer would take a step back, wishing for more modest results.
Rendair preliminary raw image. I may have included the graphic on the wall in this one. It's a shining, detailed, impressive image but doesn't match the look or feel of the actual space. It is just so overdone, no black table, a lit-up sofa, a busy wood on the floor.
Final image, using a layer for furniture/overall and a layer for the ceiling and a layer for the wall mural (mural processed in Rendair). I was happy with much about this, but may have needed yet another layer to improve the accuracy of the furniture in the "distance," e.g. the reception desk. It's typical for ai-renderer to fail with objects in the distance.

Comparing results Vizcom, Rendair, Visoid

I looked at three ai renderers as I began my next project, a rendering based on Thailand offices of Coca Cola Company, designed by YAAV.

It is a case again of "too much," "not enough," and "just right," a theme I've used before, and I think previously Rendair was in the "too much" role then as well.

This time I added Visoid, which is improved and more accurate with its new engine V2. But I am missing reflections in the rendering results. The results, although accurate, can look flat, a lttle dull, which is true of any renderer with too few reflections and no sharp reflections.

I chose Vizcom, which is new to me, and there are a lot of uses and features I haven't explored yet, but it was fairly familiar in area of rendering results from an image. It is equipped to do more, in the way of product 3D creation.

I saw a nice realism in its results which was encouraging, and may try it on my next project which may tell me more, as it won't have a mural as a large part of the image.
