Exploded views of the new concept design; showing the layout and interaction of the internal components.
My initial hand sketched observations of existing components and ideas for improvement; the shaver head/ rotary blades.
CAD model I designed and constructed, which could be injection moulded; reducing the need for multiple separate internal components and fixings; thus allowing for faster assembly and dissasembly time (allowing for easy recycling).
My initial hand sketched observations of existing components and ideas for improvement; rotary shaft mechanism and supportive casing.

CAD model: Rotary blade.
My initial hand sketched observations of the existing internal views of the casing; regarding fixings and webbing.

First Year: Investigation & Redesign of a Battery Shaver

First Year work: The (individual) investigation & (group) redesign of a hand held, electrical injection moulded product: A Battery Shaver.

In this project, I created and rendered the entire final group design.

For this project I received a 1st.

  • The hand sketched exploded views are indeed awesome, definitely nice work for a 1st year project. After viewing it all I was hoping to see a "money shot" of it all assembled.
