Journey Toward Wisdom iBook
Seven Pillars is an interfaith spiritual institute in New York. The 200-page Journey Toward Wisdom iBook was intended to promote and support their activities, using Apple’s multimedia book format to present a series of conversations alongside images, animation, original music and video. The multitouch, multimedia format represents an opportunity to engage readers, but is also limited to a single layout across different screen sizes. The solution uses Cecil Collins’ paintings and drawings with a key text to introduce each of the seven sections, and to break up the discussion that forms the body of each ‘Pillar’.
