WYWH - Postcard Project and Exhibition Installation - A son placed into foster care in Milwaukee traces the route he took through multiple homes and the conflicted emotions the journey created between him and his mother.
Foster homes were revisited 20-years later to be photographed and charted on a map of Milwaukee. The son had to rely on the Mother's memory for some locations.
The maps on the back of each photograph indicate the location of the photograph. When assembled, the postcard maps join together to seamlessly form a single larger map, illustrating the entire journey.
