Ableton is looking for an industrial design student to join its hardware team in Berlin for a paid internship of up to six months.
The Hardware team is developing the next generation of Ableton products. You will support the them in trying to understand problems and find solutions for musicians. For design students this is a chance to work on real projects and get involved in all steps of the design process from prototyping to final production.

Solve industrial design problems within an international team
Work closely with designers in UX, UI and ID and engineers across departments
Perform tasks including sketching ideas, 3D modelling, rendering, 2D drawings
Work independently on small projects such as product accessories
Create design models and prototypes in our workshop
Create models with Ableton’s in-house CAM software and CNC machines
Find opportunities to improve results or processes
A portfolio that demonstrates good design results and an approach that considers more than just how things look
A desire to ask questions and learn
The ability to discuss, critique and communicate designs
A passion for music
Currently a minimum 4th semester student studying in a relevant field
Experience in model making
Experience in 3D Software like Rhinoceros or Solidworks
What makes you stand out

Experience from other design disciplines: UI, graphic design, textiles, etc.
Experience with rendering and animation
You speak fluent English
