Honeywell is seeking a Senior User Experience Design and Design Researcher to conduct end to end customer experience research, design and testing of future product offerings in our Honeywell Building Technologies Division. You will collaborate with strategic marketing and advanced technology teams to explore next-generation solutions with lead customers. Our team is nimble with limited hierarchy, and lots of ownership. We're looking for someone who is driven, passionate about our mission, and wants to dive in and get their hands dirty.
In this position, you will work closely with Marketing and Engineering Teams to research and synthesize customer insights, collaborate on new system concepts, create proof of concept prototypes for rapid iteration with customers, and refine product offerings to drive breakthrough growth. We are a team with a passion for delivering solutions that go above and beyond the expectations of our users.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at Design Thinking, especially translating customer insights into innovative concepts. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in Design Thinking, customer-centric research, outcome-driven design, rapid-prototyping and usability testing.
You must have a Bachelor degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design or a related field. Personal portfolio of non-confidential, relevant work for review is also required.
Strong experience in design research, interaction design, user experience design, information architecture, software or product design for software, web applications and mobile applications in a collaborative AGILE development environment is highly valued.
