Job Description

Poppin is looking to add a Production Manager to our growing Product Design team. This position will be responsible for accomplishing technical design specifications using Solidworks (3D modeling), testing procedures, and best practices for all new furniture products. The Production Manager will oversee and continuously be improving the cost, schedule, performance and aesthetics of Poppins furniture line. This position will work cross departmentally with our design team, merchants, as well as with our overseas offices and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
-Follow Poppins furniture development process consistently across all furniture items
-Ensure all furniture designs receive complete technical specification including CADs sent to vendors
-Confirm all furniture designs be manufacturable in a cost efficient and feasible manner
-Ensure all the furniture meet design minimum requirements as stated under the corresponding BIFMA, Prop 65, Carb, Combustion, and/or otherwise prescribed testing protocols
-Manage the communication and delivery of technical specifications to our furniture vendors
-Ensure all furniture quality reviews through the product development cycle are all well documented
-Ensure that assembly instructions have proper content in regard to wording and graphics for high risk products
-Implement consistent methods of communication to keep each department informed as to the furniture product requirements

Qualifications:
-A minimum Bachelors Degree required; focus on product development is preferred
-A minimum of 4 years of experience
-Technical experience with Solidworks, BIFMA testing standards
-Demonstrated success managing the production lifecycle
-Furniture knowledge/experience
-Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 4 times a year
