•Assists with the concept, design and execution of original packaging for 100+ new skus per year.
•Works on running changes to existing packages and line refreshes.
•Incorporate design direction and feedback from multiple departments and stakeholders.
•Understanding of different packaging types i.e., hang tags, blisters, window boxes, PDQs, retail POPs.
•Gather and organize translations for multi-lingual packaging and instructions.
•Create planograms for retail store displays.
•Ability to articulate, critique, and communicate design strategy during packaging meetings.
•Works closely with structural designer on packaging die-lines.
•Work directly with copywriter and compliance to ensure product is accurately represented through packaging and meets all compliance regulations.
•Help maintain digital assets library of all packaging files, enabling the team to be self-serve, share, and collaborate with each other.
•Strive for highest quality and excellence in creative design.
•Complete other projects as assigned.
•Mastery of the Adobe Creative suite - specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
•Well-versed in best practices for print including the three-dimensional aspects of packaging.
•High energy, team player with strong time and project management skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Must possess an unflappable personality: Ability to tackle multiple projects while staying organized and keeping your cool in a fast-paced team environment.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions.
•Possess an exceptional eye for detail and strong aesthetic skills.
•Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
•2+ years of experience in packaging design is preferred.
•Experience with pre-press and preparing files for mass production.
